  2.      You  may have ( or I know you have) an old ROM or old  software.  Type
  3.  
  4. ATi3  (AT  'eye' 3) in terminal mode of data software to get  ROM  version.
  5.  
  6. There are TWO series of V32bis modems. The ones with the 'L' in the  serial
  7.  
  8. #  (like X4L or I4L) are a NEW series (LC - Low Current) and have  new  ROM
  9.  
  10. numbers. All LC roms are 1.xx. All 'old' V32bis roms are 2.xx.
  11.  
  12.      For  the  software  look at dates on diskettes, and/or  version  #  on
  13.  
  14. opening screen of the software.
  15.  
  16.      Don't forget to include your FAX #, Modem model & SERIAL #, ADDRESS, &
  17.  
  18. a  short repeat of the question, so I can reply properly, or send a  proper
  19.  
  20. update as needed.
